Project and Enterprise Programs

Participant-led projects, creative work, and supported enterprise pathways

Project & Enterprise Programs sit alongside Willy’s Café and provide alternative or additional work-style opportunities for participants whose interests, strengths, or support needs are better suited outside of a café environment. These programs focus on creativity, enterprise, promotion, and accessible work activities, with roles designed to be meaningful, flexible, and adaptable.

Participation is driven by interest and capacity, with support levels adjusted to suit each individual. Some participants may engage exclusively in Project & Enterprise Programs, while others move fluidly between these programs and Willy’s Café.

What Project & Enterprise Programs Include

Commercial Photography (Supported)

Participants assist with real commercial photography projects under guidance. This may include helping set up equipment, preparing spaces, assisting during shoots, learning basic camera skills, editing support, or observing creative workflows. Tasks are adapted to interest and ability, offering exposure to creative industries and professional environments.

Entrepreneurship & Micro-Business Projects

Participants are supported to explore and develop their own business ideas at a scale that suits them. This may include participant-led initiatives such as dog walking services, creative products, or small service ideas. Support focuses on confidence, routines, responsibility, and learning how ideas turn into real-world projects — not on profit or pressure.

Participant-Driven Business Ideas

Some projects are built around a specific participant’s strengths and interests, such as Aiden’s Dog Walking. These initiatives provide opportunities to practice responsibility, planning, customer interaction, and routine, while being fully supported and adapted to the participant’s needs.

Promotions & Brand Support

Participants may assist with promotional activities for Adventure Card, Tabletopper Labs, Willy’s, and other aligned brands or partner organisations. Tasks can include preparing materials, assisting with campaigns, content creation, outreach support, or behind-the-scenes preparation. These roles offer real exposure to marketing, communication, and teamwork.

Content Creation & Creative Support

Participants can take part in content creation activities such as brainstorming ideas, taking photos or videos, helping with simple edits, organising assets, or contributing creatively to campaigns. Tasks are flexible and suited to a wide range of abilities and communication styles.

Accessible Work Activities (High-Support Pathways)

For participants who benefit from higher levels of support or simpler task structures, accessible work activities are offered. These may include letterbox drops, assisted promotional distribution, basic content tasks, sorting or preparation work, or other clearly defined activities. These roles prioritise participation, routine, and inclusion while still contributing meaningfully to real projects.

A Flexible, Interest-Led Model

Project & Enterprise Programs are intentionally flexible and interest-driven. Participants may move between tasks, projects, or programs throughout the day depending on energy levels and preferences. There is no expectation to follow a fixed schedule unless it is beneficial for the individual.

For participants who benefit from clearer structure, personalised plans or timetables can be developed within the program, while maintaining choice and adaptability.
